The Ute Tax is here

The Albanese Labor Government could be fixing any number of problems right now.

When you’re faced with a housing and cost of living crisis, massive home power bills, an energy grid that barely works, and activists dividing our nation, there’s plenty to do.

Instead, on July 1, Albanese and Labor hit Aussie families and workers with their brand new tax on utes and family cars.

Your ADVANCE movement has been campaigning against this tax for two years, ever since it was announced.

But because of their ideological commitment to the dollars and destruction of renewable energy, and their refusal to ever do anything to make your life easier or less expensive, their Ute Tax is now in effect.

The new law sets CO2 emissions standards for each new car on sale, with vehicle manufacturers on the hook for massive fines if they don’t reach the new standard.

According to Drive,

“Estimates have predicted that over the first five years of the policy – over which time the CO2 targets get more stringent – car manufacturers may be on the hook for a combined $2.8 billion in penalties.”

And who do you think is going to pay?

Aussie families, Aussie tradies, and Aussie farmers.

The people who need utes for work and big family cars to get their kids to school and sports.

The very same people who are already dealing with the rising cost of everything under this Government.

Labor’s Energy Minister Chris Bowen must know how bad this tax is because he didn’t even put out a press release announcing it was coming into effect.

This tax is a ticking time bomb.

Just like every other renewable energy policy, the Ute Tax is built on a fantasy.

Electric cars are still expensive and make up less than 10 percent of the market in Australia.

In fact, according to Drive, even some hybrid cars don’t meet the emissions standards set by the government.

That’s how crazy this whole scheme is.

There is no way their EV targets are going to be met by 2030.

Instead, thanks to the Ute Tax, you’re going to be paying more for your next car, all so they can pour your taxpayer money down the drain.

Join the campaign to scrap the Ute Tax now.

Aussie farmers and families simply cannot afford it.
