This is your life now
The absurdity of Net Zero reveals itself more and more every day.
This time it comes from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), which revealed we can expect more intermittent power because the grid can’t handle the balance of power sources.
The AEMO is responsible for managing Australia’s power grid to ensure there’s enough power in the system, so you and I can go about our lives without worrying whether the light or the dishwasher or the TV will turn on when we flick the switch.
But due to the focus on renewables, AEMO has said it may need “to direct the de-energisation of sections of the transmission network, resulting in localised loss of supply to customers”.
In other words, Aussies can expect more brownouts and blackouts as the hottest months of the year approach.
This is due to the fact that the intermittent power renewables provide is forcing AEMO to intervene in the market more and more, which raises costs and makes your bill higher.
The Australian reported AEMO intervened in the grid six times back in 2016. In 2024, it intervened 1800 times.
Put simply: the grid essentially ran itself ten years ago when it was running on coal. Now, as renewables keep being put in, the situation is getting worse and the AEMO has to keep sticking its hands in to make it work.
The mess that is AEMO doesn’t stop there.
The Australian also revealed AEMO produced a model for the Net Zero transition that predicted wind power would never fall below 14 per cent on successive days. Except, as The Australian reported, this has happened multiple times across multiple days.
To put it simply, the model is fake and the costings are wrong.
So while Airbus Bowen is jetting around chairing UN meetings, claiming our Net Zero transition is going great, the actual agency responsible is telling Aussies to expect brownouts and blackouts.
The fact is it’s not working. It won’t work.
And you are paying the price.
