‘We are being run into the dirt’: The truth about Bowen’s renewables
“We are being run into the dirt.”
That was the clear message from the Environment and Energy Forum, held in climate change minister Chris Bowen’s western Sydney electorate on Sunday.
ADVANCE spokeswoman Sandra Bourke headlined the event and detailed how Bowen’s disastrous renewables agenda is locking Australia into an unprecedented cycle of social, economic, and environmental devastation.

The phrase captures the fury and frustration of hundreds of regional communities, Sandra said after the event.
“We’re suffocating under destructive industrial-scale wind and solar projects across the country,” she said.
At the forum, farmers shared experiences of compulsory land acquisitions, backroom deals, corporate bullying and isolation.
Speakers highlighted how Australia was being left out of the current global nuclear renaissance due to this government’s pig-headed ban on nuclear power.
It’s straightforward. Building nuclear power would mitigate the disastrous impact of renewables on regional Australia.
But Labor, the Greens and the Teals keep doubling down on stupidity and lies.
They are prioritising self-interest over national interest.
Their renewables-only approach is not only wrong, the only ones it benefits are the foreign multinationals lining up for billions in taxpayer-funded subsidies.
They put themselves first and show nothing but contempt for Australia’s regional communities.
“Regional fury, fuelled by the Labor government’s blind commitment to renewables at any cost, is spreading to our cities,” Sandra said, speaking after the event.
“Regional communities are supporting forums all across Australian cities to help expose the truth that our nation is being run into the dirt.
“They are understandably seeking empathy and support to stop this endless destruction and waste of taxpayer dollars.”
Sandra urged all Australians to look beyond government propaganda and embrace an energy future where nuclear power is a viable alternative.
“It is clearer than ever—this can only happen if the Labor, Green, and Teal coalition is voted OUT,” she said.
