Labor’s threat to our prosperity
Aussies have been blessed with a strong economy for a long time.
It has ebbed and flowed but thanks to our mining industry, we’ve enjoyed some pretty good times.
But there is no guarantee it will continue.
And the Albanese Labor government is bringing us ever closer to it all falling apart.
Of course, high cost of living, housing shortages, and the massive growth in the public sector are already causing Aussies stress.
But the Reserve Bank of Australia has warned it could get a lot worse very soon.
The cut in interest rates was welcome for those with mortgages, but it came with a stern warning.
The Australian Financial Review reports on the decision to downgrade their economic forecast:
The decision marked the first time since the pandemic the central bank has downgraded its assumption for productivity growth, which feeds into its broader economic projections. The RBA warned weaker productivity growth meant the economy would be smaller and poorer than would have otherwise been the case.
Australia is being made poorer.
And the RBA is clear: it’s up to the Albanese Labor government to stop the decline.
I think many Aussies agree that is cold comfort.
The kind of cold comfort Aussies are already feeling with their massive heating bills this winter.
Every Australian government’s core job is to maintain and grow Australia’s freedom, prosperity, and security.
Labor is failing on all three counts.
