Defend the legacy of our veterans. Save Our War Memorial From Activists.

Every Anzac Day, before the sun comes up, Australians stand in silence. Veterans wearing their medals. Kids holding a photo of a great-grandfather they never met.

Lest we forget. We made that promise to every one of them.

The Australian War Memorial is where that promise lives on. It commemorates the more than 100,000 Australians who died in uniform. Soldiers, sailors, and airmen. Nurses and peacekeepers; from Gallipoli to Afghanistan.

Now the activists are taking it.

The same activists who tried to divide us by race. The ones who tell our children they need to be welcomed to their own country.

They've pushed a new gallery into the Memorial on the early settlement clashes.

In the activists' story, 1788 is an invasion.

The settlers who built our farms and towns are invaders and war criminals. Modern Australia shouldn’t exist on stolen land.

Putting that story in a War Memorial tells every visitor this country was born from a war, and that they're on the wrong side of it.

It's the story they use again and again to divide us.

And it will sit under the same roof as the Roll of Honour.

In 2028, a Year 5 class will step off the bus for their school excursion.

They've come to learn about courage and sacrifice. Instead, they'll hear the activists' version of our history: that shame built this country, and it was never really theirs.

Then they'll walk past the names of those who died for Australia, a nation they’ve just been told has no right to exist.

That's an assault on who we are, and on everyone who has ever worn the uniform.

The Prime Minister and Veterans' Affairs Minister Matt Keogh have let it go ahead. They can stop it, and they haven't.

This history belongs in the National Museum of Australia.

Those who gave their lives can't defend their Memorial. You and I can.

Add your name. Tell the Prime Minister and Matt Keogh: commemoration, not demonstration.

TO THE PRIME MINISTER AND THE MINISTER FOR VETERANS' AFFAIRS, MATT KEOGH:

I'm a proud Australian. I will never forget those who died for this country.

Australians built the War Memorial to honour them. More than 100,000 names. Every one of them died in uniform.

Activists have pushed a gallery on the early settlement clashes into the Memorial.

And you have let it go ahead.

You are turning a place of remembrance into a place of division.

I call on you to:

  1. Stop this gallery going into the Australian War Memorial.
  2. Move it to the National Museum of Australia.
  3. Keep the War Memorial for those who served.
