Shut down the ABC
The ABC has one job.
Serve Australians with accurate, impartial journalism.
That is not our standard. It is the ABC’s own legal duty.
Its board must ensure news and information is accurate and impartial according to recognised standards of objective journalism.
But day after day, year after year, they’ve shown they cannot uphold this duty.
So why are Australians still paying more than $1 billion a year for this?
Defunding the ABC is not enough. They need to be shut down. And here’s their latest greatest hits which show why we’ve had enough.
First up, they’ve just awarded activist Grace Tame a podcast about autism. This is the former Australian of the year who now goes around saying Hamas atrocities are propaganda.
She’s so toxic, even some ABC personalities have been brave enough to criticise the appointment.
Then there’s the ABC refusing to own up to the fact that their staff believe a Jewish musician doesn’t have a “right” to perform.
They also, for years, kept on staff a former member of a bikie gang. Only now has he finally been fired after public pressure.
And do you think there’s any chance they’ll be held accountable for any of this, despite their taxpayer funding?
Of course not. In fact, they’ve taken their social media to left-wing echo chamber Bluesky and abandoned x.com for nakedly ideological reasons. That’s not what a public broadcaster does when they want to inform the public and be accountable.
You could write books about the ABC’s failure to live up to its charter and serve the Australian people.
It’s been a problem for a long time.
But Australians do not need another inquiry.
They do not need another apology from ABC management.
They do not need another taxpayer-funded “review” that ends with nothing changing.
They need the truth.
The ABC has broken trust with the people who pay for it. It lectures mainstream Australians, protects its own, gives platforms to activists, sneers at anyone outside the left-wing bubble, and then expects taxpayers to keep signing the cheque.
Enough.
A public broadcaster that cannot be impartial should not be public.
A public broadcaster that abandons half the country should not be national.
A public broadcaster that treats accountability like an optional extra should not get another cent of your money.
The ABC has had decades to fix itself.
It won’t.
Shut it down.
