His Digital Duty of Care Bill hands one Labor Minister the power to decide what counts as “harmful” online. By the stroke of a pen, without a vote in Parliament.
Platforms cop a fine of up to $100 million if they leave “harmful” content up. Nothing if they delete it. So they’ll delete first and never ask.
What if Labor decides criticising mass immigration is “harmful”? Or questioning Net Zero? Or opposing the next Voice?
You get no vote. You get no appeal. You get no say.
Australians stopped Albo’s misinformation bill in 2024. We have to stop the Big Brother Bill now.

I am writing to demand you withdraw the Digital Duty of Care Bill immediately.
Your Bill hands one Minister the power to decide what counts as “harmful” online, and forces every platform to delete it or cop a fine of up to $100 million. That is not safety. That is censorship by another name.
I do not accept that one Minister – with no vote, no appeal, no scrutiny – should decide what Australians can read, say, and share online.
Australians rejected your misinformation bill in 2024. We reject this one too.
