They don’t want debate, they want control

A warning from a security-linked group has landed with a familiar thud. Australians are told that “anti-climate action propaganda” is a threat to democracy.

7 News reports that a group no one has ever heard of, called the Australian Security Leaders Climate Group, claims that asking questions about climate policy is killing democracy.

Read that again.

Not foreign interference. Not violence. Not corruption. No, it’s questioning Net Zero that will end democracy.

The Net Zero agenda has been like this from day one. No need to waste time on persuasion or debate. Instead, it’s just control.

Australians are being told that questioning Net Zero is dangerous. That raising concerns about cost, reliability, or national interest somehow undermines democracy. It’s a staggering inversion of reality.

Democracy depends on disagreement. It thrives on scrutiny. It demands that big, economy-shaping policies like Net Zero face relentless scrutiny.

Instead, elites and activists are attempting to quarantine the issue; to shift it out of public hands and into the control of bureaucrats, foreign companies, and “approved” experts.

“Misinformation” is a ridiculous concept that’s actually about the deliberate narrowing of what Australians are allowed to say, think, and challenge.

It’s the elites and activists telling you to fall in line and shut up.

But that’s not how things work in Australia.

Families paying soaring power bills and petrol prices have every right to ask why. Workers facing job losses in energy and industry deserve answers. Communities being reshaped by top-down climate targets should have a voice.

Sinecured and retired, comfortable security “experts” who weren’t elected to anything don’t get to declare.

Australians don’t need thought police. They need honest conversations, real accountability, and the freedom to push back.
