The champions we need for the coming fight

Parliament was back for the first time since the election this week and the stark reality was exposed.

The next three years under Albanese and Labor are going to be tough for Aussie farmers and families.

Those of us who care about Australia’s freedom, prosperity, and security will have to be steadfast and defend what we hold dear.

And we’ll need some champions along the way who are willing to stand up for what’s right.

Already this week Barnaby Joyce and Michael McCormack have put aside their past differences to speak up about the damage Net Zero is doing to our country.

And Liberal leader in the Senate, Michaelia Cash, has stood tall for our national flag, and against the activists pushing to promote everything but our flag.

When the fight ahead is going to be long and tough, these moments where leaders take a stand matter even more.

So it’s also worth giving a shout out to one of Australia’s best MPs, Andrew Hastie.

He’s been a champion for Aussie values since he served our country in the SAS and in his time in the Parliament, he’s stayed strong.

He hit out against the Ute Tax earlier this month.

And he’s been outspoken about the rising threat of extremism in our communities.

Now Andrew is using his platform to be another loud voice against Net Zero.

His social media posts outlining the lies at the heart of the Net Zero agenda are must-reads, and you can check them out here.

And last Saturday, he supported a move by the Western Australian Liberal Party to dump Net Zero.

While many of those in the Coalition are licking their wounds and letting Labor dictate what they should do next, Andrew Hastie, along with these others, are standing strong for mainstream values.

And the truth is, standing strong pays off, because Andrew is one of the rare members of the Coalition who increased his vote at the 2025 election.

There’s a lesson in that. The way forward for the next three years is not to be afraid of Labor and to try to hide from tough political fights.

It’s to stand tall for Aussie values. For our freedom, prosperity, and security.

And to never take a backwards step.

Well done to those pollies who have already started the fight this week.
